Oak barrel crafting for expertise

Our History

Tonnellerie Remond has embodied and spread the art of French cooperage for decades.

Its unique and precious expertise is a true treasure in the service of viticultural excellence.

A family-owned and artisanal DNA

Our Values

Tonnellerie Remond was founded in 1954 in the Burgundian village of Ladoix-Serrigny, near Beaune, the epicenter of Burgundy’s exceptional vineyards.

It owes its name to its founder, Roger Remond, who led it until the late 1980s. Acquired by Catherine Desbois-Mouchel, this family-owned business became the first cooperage managed by a woman.

Visionary, she gave it new momentum and positioned it in all the world’s wine regions, making it a renowned name on the international market.

In 1990, the company took a step forward by relocating to its current, more extensive site. Tonnellerie Remond now produces between 15,000 and 20,000 barrels per year, depending on the year.

Our Secret

The TFF Group, a major player in the sector, acquired 55% of Tonnellerie Remond in 2022, ensuring the sustainability of the business and the resources necessary for its development on a larger scale.

Since then, the company has explored new techniques while preserving the artisanal essence that contributed to its fame. Today, it is one of the few cooperages serving the world’s greatest wine estates.

Its secret? Combining tradition and innovation in the pursuit of excellence.
